  • Letter, shape, color, rhyme of the day
  • Recitations (their names, birthdays, addresses, parent's name and phone numbers, and 1 poem per term)
  • Read-alouds (letter of the day, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, fables and tall tales, character books)
Tabletime
  • Free art time with music (the history of rock 'n' roll). We paint, watercolor, craft, and play with playdough during this time freely without explicit instruction

Draw Write Now routine: Draw the picture together on Tuesdays. Copy 1-2 sentences during the week. Draw background and color pictures on Fridays.


Afternoons: 

Read-aloud chapter books

Free reading: Jack 20 minutes

Drill: once a week (good manners and social settings)

Studies Weekly Science (1x a week for 25 min)

Studies Weekly History (1x a week for 25 min)

Music: Rock band class

Geography: California geography (and geography for specific ancestral lands)

Spanish: Rosetta Stone 

Personal development: Life skills through various personal development books on finance, career, and goals
