- Recitations (their names, birthdays, addresses, parent's name and phone numbers, and 1 poem per term)
- Read-alouds (letter of the day, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, fables and tall tales, character books)
- Free art time with music (the history of rock 'n' roll). We paint, watercolor, craft, and play with playdough during this time freely without explicit instruction
